ABOUT US
Well-versed in the routines, demands, and deadlines of student-athletes, our academic teachers improve learning, attendance, and participation in the classroom. Our program serves students from grades K-12 that includes academic support, mentoring relationships, one-on-one assistance, and more.
WHAT THE RESEARCH SAYS
Research shows that high-quality learning programs improve students’ educational outcomes and improve social and academic outcomes. Consistent participation in afterschool programs has shown lower dropout rates and has helped close achievement gaps. For older youth, regular participation in an afterschool program may also reduce risky behaviors and help them gain valuable college and career-essential skills.

HERE'S HOW . . .
Experienced Educators
Each of our Academic Coaches has a master’s degree or higher, educational experience, and extensive training to assist student athletes.
Executive Functioning Skills
With regular meetings and check-ins, the Student Athlete Learning Center ensures its student athletes are always on task and up to date with their assignments.
Balance It Out
For busy and demanding schedules, organization is crucial. We coach athletes on how to balance their time between school, sports, and themselves.
LEARNING CENTER
The Learning Center provides support and services that empower students within our community. The center assists in ensuring that all student-athletes receive the full benefits of their educational experience, as well as the assurance that participation in athletics enhances - rather than detracts from - the ability to achieve academic excellence. The center also strives to follow and promote the center’s core values of integrity, leadership, excellence, service, and honesty.
Students are empowered to make decisions and take ownership of their learning
TUTORING
The Tutoring Center provides individual and/or group tutoring in most subject areas. Whether you are having difficulty with core subjects or finding success but aiming to achieve your very best, our team is ready to help! The Tutoring Center is part of the Student-Athlete Learning Center, which is in the MQ Library. Tutoring is by appointment only, but making an appointment has never been easier
COLLEGE ESSAY COACHING
Strong college essays require time, preparation, and patience and are essential for a competitive application. Professional and skilled, our essay coaches guide students through the whole writing process, from rough drafts to final submissions, to create captivating, original works.
Experienced, One-On-One Tutoring
The private instructors at the Learning Center are ready to help your child get back on track, whether struggling with the fundamentals or encountering difficulties with more complex ideas.
Few kids receive adequate one-on-one and individualized instruction at school despite the fact that group learning is an essential component of any education. As a result, learning gaps arise as queries go unanswered and concepts are missed.
